2.- Instructions
for the poster
There are few specific
requirements for the poster, but the main one is: clarity of the exposition. Please
make sure it is readable and that the images and graphs are of good quality.
2.1-. Handling
You may choose
to bring yourself the poster, but if you prefer to send it in advance, please send
it to the Conference Secretariat, between the
1st and 10th of September or prior to 30th July
2010. Please note that our University is closed for holidays in August,
and that there will be no one to receive your poster during this time.
The Conference
organisation will provide panels to hang your poster, which will be exposed in the
main concourse outside the Conference hall.
2.2.- Some
ideas on creating your poster
We recommend
a poster format of size A0, though you may choose to present a smaller format.
Each poster should
include the title of the work in large letters, the institution where the work was
completed, and the author names at the top center of the poster.
Materials must
be easily read at a distance of 1,5 m. (4 feet). A point size of 5-6 mm. (16-18)
or larger is recommended for body text.
Space your information
proportionally. A good way is to divide your poster either horizontally or vertically
into three or four sections, and place your materials within those sections.
When choosing
a background to frame the components of your poster, remember that neutral or greyish
colours in your selection of poster or matte board will be easier on the eyes than
a bright colour. Dark backgrounds will make a dark photo seem brighter and vice versa. Colour photographs look best when mounted on a greyish backing.
2.3.- Additional
requirements
We would appreciate
if you provide us a copy of the digital version of your poster, in this way we will
show it in the Website in same way you will present it during the event.
Please do not
hesitate to contact us should you have any queries about the abstract and poster
preparation or the Conference in general.
