INSTRUCTIONS FOR EXTENDED ABSTRACT AND POSTER PREPARATION
1.- Instructions for writing your document for the Conference Proceedings
Please read the following instructions carefully before writing and sending your final extended abstract for the THIESEL 2010 Conference.
1.1.- Deadline
Your extended
abstract should be submitted by 31st May 2010 at the latest.
This is imperative, as we will not be able to include it in the Conference Proceedings
if you do not send it in time for publication.
1.2.- Preparation
of your extended abstract
Please, use the
Word document “THIESEL2010-template”
as a base for your extended abstract. In it you will find illustrations and examples
of headings, figure legends, equations, etc…. We hope it will facilitate your work
when writing your document and it will certainly facilitate ours in obtaining a
uniform, clear and nice publication.
The document
‘THIESEL2010-template’
is in principle usable as it is. Should you have any problems with it, do not hesitate
in contacting us immediately. We will do our best to provide you with a formatted
version you can read and use.
Your extended
abstract should not exceed 3 pages (A4)
on the THIESEL 2010 template provided.
Please send the
final manuscript in the two versions cited below:
·
Electronic version in MS Word format or latex: this is imperative, as we need to be able to number
the pages and edit the paper to optimise printing space.
·
Electronic version in pdf format: all papers will be printed in this version in the
Conference Proceedings and it is therefore important that you check it thoroughly
for editing errors, quality of figures, equations, legends, etc….
Please ensure that all figures are legible in black & white
when you ‘print’ your paper from Word to pdf.
Please note that
the printed Conference Proceedings will only be published in black & white.
The colour version of your abstract may be submitted provided it is legible in black
& white and will be included in the Conference Proceedings CD. In fact, the
CD will contain your original pdf version; hence it is important that you check
this version carefully.
The digital documents
may be sent either by e-mail or CD Rom/DVD by ordinary post or fast courier service.
1.3.- Additional
requirements
When you submit
the extended abstract, please provide full addresses with telephone numbers and
e-mail addresses of all authors, particularly the corresponding author. If
possible, also let us know who the presenting author will be.
