The THIESEL 2026 Conference focuses on the thermo-and fluid dynamic processes occurring in propulsion powerplants for clean and sustainable transport.

The automotive industry faces a number of challenges linked to electrification and necessary decarbonisation.

New generation thermal engines require solutions for injection/combustion concepts based on hydrogen, ammonia, renewable-fuels and e-fuels, but also to reduce thermal losses and increase efficiency.

For full societal acceptance of global electrified propulsion systems, the driving range must be increased. To achieve this, research focusses on improving batteries capacity and optimizing the energy management system.
